“New Beginnings, the Mural Experience”
Artists new to the mural painting process examine what the experience has meant to them how they see their work progressing following this experience. This will include an overview of the great muralists in history such as Aaron Douglas, Diego Rivera, Charles White, etc.

Sunday 2/14 –
“For the Love of Art”
A discussion of the ways art affects our lives; the environment both physical and emotional, our personal development, politics, advertising, museums, galleries, and ways of control by mainstream dictators of culture and taste.
Lead by Betty Blayton, invited panelists include – Robert Carter, Wilda Gonzalez,
LaVon Leak, Brent Bailer



Sunday 2/21 –
“Dancing Between Circles and Lines”
The differences between Western art, aesthetics and the art of the African Diaspora
Lead by Che Baraka, invited panelists include – Ellsworth Ausby, Dr. George Bennett, Jerry Barry



Sunday 2/28 –
“The ARTCURIAN Movement, the Healing Power of Art”
A discussion centered on art’s capacity to heal. How the acts of art making can create hope by transforming a persons outlook.
