The Basketball Player

I once tried to explain to some youth in a juvenile detention center what it means to be in Christ. I wanted to use an illustration they could relate to. I knew they loved basketball, and I knew they worshiped Michael Jordan; so, what better way to captivate their attention than by using their idol in an illus-tration. Basketball is something they have first-hand experience with and a strong passion for.
