A Tale of 2 Cousins

My first love was named Donald Earl Moods. The first time I talked to him was when we were in high school playing tennis during gym class. He was too lazy to learn how to pronounce my
first name so he called me Omar. the whole time we were playing tennis he was pretending to be a sports announcer and making fun of me. "Omar just missed the ball and I'm pretty sure she's not wearing a bra".
What?!Why did you say that? I was more that a little surprised by his assumption. My titties are not very big so I wouldn't have expected most people to notice if I were wearing a bra or not.
"Because you're not wearing a bra."
"Of course I am" I replied with complete sincerity.
"Prove it"
I lowered my shirt a little bit and showed him my bra strap."See"
Later on he started talking to me about how great he was and saying"You can't have me becuse I'm already taken" at that point I wasn't really interested in having hem because he seemed a little annoying. when I saw him in the hallways at school he would always say something to me.
Most of the time what he had to say was very amusing.
One time when we were in gym apparently just goofing off I guess we were supposed to be lifting weights or something. .It was probably late October or early November because It was the day of the first snowfall of the year.Don said to me "I think we should go out"
My reply was "Maybe tomorrow, I didn't bring my gloves today.
He looked at me real funny and changed the subject.
It wasn't until much later that I realized he meant we should go out on a date, not we should go outside and have a snowball fight.

A Tale of 2 Cousins

A Tale of Two Cousins

The laws of Karma do not vary by location they are consistent throughout the universe.

As soon as I stepped off the plane I saw them there was Gan gan , Tammy, Auntie Lydia, Grandpa and Mishawn. Mishawn was looking at my funny. Later on she said I looked like a Chinese person. I was to stay with my relatives while my parents were still in Texas doing whatever they were doing. I don't remember asking why I was the only one getting on the plane and i crtaanly don't remember anyone offering me an explanation.all i remember was playing with my cousin in and around the small apartment building we lived in on 149th..at bedtime she asked me"what is it like in Texas?"
I told her" It only snows once a year, and when it does everybody panics".
It floods a lot , They have a really fun festival called juneteenth. They play Mexican music on the radio all the time...I really like Mexican music even though I didn't understand what they were talking about.
Mishawn had a lot of friends both on 149th and 143rd.. The first time I wen on 143rd to meet Mishawns old friends they made fun of me. At age 7 Mishawn was almost 2 years older than me and some of her friends were older than that. Everytime they would see me up the street this one big brown skinned girl would giggle and say something about swithching. It took me a long time to figure out that they were making fun of the way I walked.I wasn't cripppled or anything they just thought I was trying to be sexy.Mishawn got fed up long before I did and started crying. She said"I want to go home now!" I'm tired of evrybody making fun of my cousin?
almost immediatly after the outburst the big girls started being nice to me.
After a few months on a quiet evening I heard a familiar voice say "Where's my Baby?!"
No longer did I have to listen to people asking me if mmy aunt was my mother. My parents found a place to rent that was right next door to my Grandma'a apartment. The first night in our new apartment I slept on a rolled up blanket.
Pretty soon it was time for me to start kindergarten.
I went to A.J. Rickoff .On the first or second day of school my father asked me if there were any white kids in my class. I wasn't really sure what a white person was even though I heard about them all the time.. There weren't any white children.in my kindergarten class although some of the kids were very light and one of the teachers was white..By the time I was in 4th grade there were about 3 or 4 white kids in my class. They didn't seem to live up to the hype.I was a good student wo like to read so most of my childhood was pretty boring.
Mishawn went to raintree academy.she wasn't a very good student but she didn't see much excitement either probably because she lived with her mother and both Grandparents.
We spent a lot of time together doing things that good girls do..we both liked boys but were too scared to have sex until we were almost grown.
