These are factors that sell art to the highest bidders. The challenge is to convince so many monied players and would be collectors that the better original, fine, and commercial art we produce exudes a higher level than most in this areas.

I often contend that visual artists of African ancestry have created a few visual arts "isms' but have not been willing to give them names. I know folks like to think art is subjective of personal but I assert when folks in various regions arrive at a similar visual point, but have never met or seen each other's work, that is the presence of a "ism" or movement. There is no influence without contact.
