June 2014 Residency Opportunity for Deaf Artists, Writers, Performers and Scholars (Deadline to apply: Feb. 1, 2014)

Through a grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the Anderson Center will devote the entire month of June, 2014, to five Deaf American artists whose native or adoptive language is American Sign Language. Of this group of five, two will be visual artists (printmaking, painting, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, photography, pottery, etc.) while the other three can be of any other creative or scholarly discipline (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, dance, drama, etc.)

Each accepted artist will be provided travel stipend, room, board and private studio or workspace in a Deaf-friendly environment for 2 to 4 weeks. 4 week residencies are preferred.
